The Real Madrid squad have arrived in Paris for their Champions League final with Liverpool.

A 14th European Cup awaits Los Blancos if they can defeat the Reds in the French capital, and preparations are fully underway with Real’s schedule over the coming 48 hours clearly mapped out.

On Thursday afternoon, Carlo Ancelotti and his 26-man squad boarded the flight from Madrid to Paris and arrived to a rapturous reception of fans outside their Auberge de Jeu de Palme hotel, a 35-minute drive north of the Stade de France in the town of Chantilly.

According to Marca, some supporters were already in prime position to welcome their heroes at ten o’clock in the morning, some eight hours before their eventual arrival.

Real president Florentino Perez joined the Madrid squad on the flight and is said to have wished each of the players well in one-to-one chats, before heading off to his own hotel with fellow board members in the centre of the city.

On Friday, Ancelotti will hold a briefing session with his team before taking part in a press conference alongside Karim Benzema. The team will then take part in a final training session inside the stadium.

David Alaba was fit to join the Madrid squad in flying out after overcoming a muscle injury, which had kept him out of action in recent weeks.
