Reports: Leonard Fournette to join Tom Brady, sign with Bucs
Free-agent running back Leonard Fournette has agreed to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, NFL Network reports. The deal is for one season with a maximum value of $3.5 million, according to the report.
Fournette later appeared to confirm the news on Twitter.

Fournette released by Jags on Monday
Fournette hit the market on Monday when the Jacksonville Jaguars released the veteran running back less than two weeks before the season begins. Jacksonville reportedly attempted to trade Fournette before placing him on waivers after failing to consummate a deal. He cleared waivers on Tuesday.
A former first-round pick, Fournette tallied 2,631 rushing yards and 17 rushing touchdowns on four yards per carry in three seasons in Jacksonville. He also tallied 1,009 receiving yards and two touchdowns on 134 catches with the Jaguars.
Another new weapon in Tampa
The 25-year-old is the latest new offensive weapon in Tampa after an offseason that saw quarterback Tom Brady and tight end Rob Gronkowski join the Bucs.
Fournette joins a running back group in Tampa that already includes Ronald Jones and LeSean McCoy, another offseason acquisition for the Bucs. Head coach Bruce Arians called Jones “the main guy” in August. Fournette will likely challenge Jones for the lead role in what now adds up to a deep committee in Tampa.
Fournette reportedly filed a grievance against the Jaguars, demanding the $4.167 million base salary the team voided. It’s not clear if Fournette’s deal with the Bucs will impact his grievance.
