Participants in the race will take their marks on Cwmavon Road at 9am and will finish in Pontypool Park by 11am.

Although side roads will remain open, vehicles are prohibited on the race route during the event.

Should these closures cause anticipated disruptions, individuals are advised to consult Torfaen Sports Development promptly via email at ben.jeffries@torfaen.gov.uk or telephone on 01633 628936.

Traffic management arrangements will be coordinated to alleviate any inconvenience.

"We hope that the advance notice will enable residents to plan alternative routes during this brief closure.”

Spaces still remain for the 10k race, although the deadline looms on July 10.
