Brazil legend Ronaldinho has unleashed a furious rant about his country's national team ahead of the Copa America. Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker is set to play a big role for the Selecao in the tournament in the US.

The competition is due to get underway in the coming week with Brazil among the favorites to win the whole thing. But Ronaldinho, the former Barcelona and PSG star, has insisted he will not be paying any attention.

After Brazil drew 1-1 with the US in its final match before the Copa America begins, the 44-year-old was not impressed. He left a lengthy message on Instagram about the situation.

"That’s it guys. I will not watch any Brazil game at the Copa America nor celebrate any victory," it read. "I’ve had enough. It’s a sad moment for those who love Brazilian football. It’s hard now to find the spirit to watch the games.

"It’s one of the worst teams in the recent years, no respectable leaders, only average players for the majority. I’ve never seen a situation as bad as this. Lack of love for Brazil shirt and lack of football. Our performance has been one of the worst things I’ve ever seen. It’s such a shame."

Alisson will be the number one pick for Brazil during the tournament while midfielder Ederson of Atalanta has also been frequently linked with a move to Anfield, though Liverpool has played down suggestions of him being high on its shortlist. Neither Fabinho nor Roberto Firmino have made the squad after moving to the Saudi Pro League last summer.

Liverpool.com says: Brazil might not have won against the US but it still has a squad filled with a huge amount of talent. Vinicius, Rodrygo, Lucas Paqueta and Alisson... and the list goes on. The Selecao will have a great chance of winning the Copa America whether Ronaldinho is watching or not.
