Ross scores 42 as Morris boys drop 99 in home win

Jan. 25—A brilliant offensive performance headlined by Tiger Ross helped the Morris boys basketball team defeat Gilbertsville-Mount Upton 99-44 at home Thursday.

Ross scored 42 points in the win for the Mustangs, who capped their victory with a 37-point fourth quarter.

Ryan Murphy added 20 points while Ty Turner and Carter Sawyer each scored nine and Keegan Fraser pulled down 16 rebounds to go with his four points.

Devon Hartwell led G-MU with 19 points and Jeffrey Barnes added eight.

Morris (10-5) will visit DeRuyter Saturday while G-MU will host Worcester Friday.

Worcester 44, Cherry Valley-Springfield 41

The Worcester boys defeated Cherry Valley-Springfield 44-41 Thursday.

Tyler Head had 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Wolverines while Matt Sanders added eight points and 11 rebounds in the win.

Max Horvath had 17 points to lead CV-S while Dalton Stocking added nine.

Worcester will visit Gilbertsville-Mount Upton Friday while CV-S will host Roxbury Saturday.

Delhi 58, Oxford 42 (Wednesday)

Delhi came away with a 58-42 Midstate Athletic Conference win over Oxford on the road Wednesday.

Angelo Krzyston had 16 points and five rebounds to lead the Bulldogs while Chuck Haight added 13 points and Rocco Schnabel tallied nine points and nine rebounds in the win.

Caden Rifanburg had a game-high 18 points in the loss for the Blackhawks.

Delhi remains unbeaten in MAC play at 7-0, improves to 11-2 overall and will visit Afton Friday.

Oxford will visit Unatego/Franklin the same day.
