Wrestling

Laurel falls to Freedom

The Spartans fell to Freedom in nonsection action in an away meet, 49-18. Freedom managed to rack up some points by taking three wins via forfeit.

"Obviously, I'm not happy with the outcome," Laurel coach Kevin Carmichael said. "We had kids that wrestled really well; some kids that didn't win, but wrestled better. We had some kids out of the lineup tonight because of various reasons. It's one of those nights. One of those things you have to deal with from time to time."

Laurel's Logan Ketzel and Archer Brua won via decision, while teammates Kolton Carlson and Casey Wilson picked up wins via pinfall.
