SAINTS will travel to Millwall for a pre-season friendly on Saturday, August 3, with kick-off scheduled for 1pm.

The match is the fourth pre-season assignment announced for the first team so far this summer and the second on UK soil.

It follows the short journey to Eastleigh on Friday, July 19 (7pm) to kick-start the pre-season campaign ahead of a Saturday, August 17 Premier League start.

Behind-closed-doors games in Spain against French sides Bordeaux (Wednesday, July, 24, 10am) and Montpellier (Saturday, July 27, 10am) follow.

A Saints statement said: "Ticket information for the visit to South East London is expected to follow next week."

Saints hope to pencil in a further three domestic pre-season fixtures - including two at St Mary's - but plans are not yet finalised and subject to change.

The trip to The Den sees Saints return to the scene of loanee Ryan Fraser’s dramatic late winner back in November.

Millwall spent much of last season fighting against relegation to League One but secured a 13th-place finish in the Championship.

The return of club legend Neil Harris as manager inspired a five-match winning streak to end the campaign.

Millwall mourned the tragic death of Montenegro international goalkeeper Matija Sarkic at just 26 years old earlier this summer.
