Sarah Jessica Parker sharpens her claws over hand surgery rumour

Sarah Jessica Parker has taken cosmetic surgery rumours into her own hands, slamming claims she's undergone a bizarre anti-ageing procedure.

Reports from America's Star magazine suggest the Sex and the City star took a trip to the docs for help with her "zombie hands", claiming she was "looking into procedures to make them look younger and less veiny".

The actress was left completely baffled by the report, and has tackled it head on, or should that be hand on, during a U.S. TV interview.

She tells TV host Andy Cohen: "It was a really particularly vicious issue and it was all about how all these particular people are hated and they're the worst and they're awful and everybody hates them. It was really brutal and I was literally thinking to myself, 'Good God, I escaped that.'

"And I flipped the page and there was an article about my hands and how ugly they are and how I should go have cosmetic surgery to fix them and I have been contemplating the surgery or I had the surgery. And then there was a really crude drawing of my hands as a witch's hands."

The outlandish report was so shocking to the 48 year old that it even made her physically ill.

She admitted: "Literally, I was in the car like dizzy. I felt like I needed to be hospitalised. But it really got me to thinking. And here's what I thunk (sic): I thought, 'Really? This is how low?' ...It was so ridiculous, so outrageous to me because, here's the thing, we'll wrap this up, I love my hands."
