It's time to do the business tonight, boys.

Scotland have the opportunity to legitimately make history, keep the Tartan Army out there in Germany and keep the party going with a win over Hungary this evening. Three points, in all likelihood, would take the Scots through to the knockout stages of the tournament from what has been a topsy-turvy competition so far for Steve Clarke's men. The agony of the 5-1 hammering against the hosts on the opening night. The satisfaction of watching Scott McTominay's effort hit the net before Anthony Ralston's lapse in concentration was brutally - beautifully - punished by a Xherdan Shaqiri stunner.

If they can run the gamut with a win tonight, it'll be a chance at a knockout round for the first time ever at a major. And that would certainly be something to celebrate.

Of course, we won't know for certain tonight if we'd be through. Even with the four points. Clarke's lads would have a few days wait to come before they'd know their fate.

There's also the wait to learn who our opponent would be as the permutations remain to be sorted out with games still to come to determine who finishes top of the other respective groups. Football Scotland takes a look at what we're waiting on exactly and the dates to look out for.

Who could Scotland play?

On Sunday June 30 it could be Spain who we'd face as they are the current Group B leaders. Italy are still in with a shot but it's a long one after losing to the Spanish earlier this week.

Group F winners are also possible depending, of course, on results. Monday July 1 would be our day for this one and it would likely be vs Portugal who currently lead their group.

On Tuesday July 2 there's a chance we'd face Group E winners and it's essentially ALL to play for still in this group. Romania, Belgium, Ukraine and Slovakia are all still on three points which leaves Scotland's potential opponents a pick 'em from this one.

When will we learn our fate?

Should we beat Hungary, we would learn on June 26 after the 8pm kick-offs which teams are through to the knockouts. That would be because all group matches would be over and all the permutations rounded off.
