Scott Wright Rangers transfer exit route opens as Sheffield Wednesday show interest

Scott Wright has transfer interest from Sheffield Wednesday this summer as an exit route opens for the Rangers man.

The Hillsborough outfit, according to the Sunday Mail, have registered an interest in the 26-year-old with manager Danny Rohl an admirer of the player and looking to take him down south for the new season. Wright has been a fringe player at Ibrox for the most part with 119 appearances over three years, the majority of those outings coming off the bench.

Gers have been working hard on their squad revamp this summer with manager Philippe Clement already bringing in the likes of Oscar Cortes on a loan with an obligation to buy. And they'd be willing to sell Wright so long as the fee is correct.

The player has one year left on his contract and the club may be more likely to cash-in to avoid losing him for free as they did with five players at the end of last season.
