Sead Haksabanovic Celtic transfer fee named as Stoke City loanee to return to Parkhead

Sead Haksabanovic will reportedly make a return to Celtic this summer - with Stoke City opting against a permanent transfer.

The Montenegrin, 24, has managed just 21 appearances for the Potters this term with his only goal coming back in September in a victory over Bristol City. Injury problems have played their part in Haksabanovic being in and out of the Stoke side this season but he won't be remaining at the Bet365 and, instead, will be back among Brendan Rodgers' squad for pre-season.

That is, of course, unless the Hoops opt to cash-in on the playmaker. According to Swedish outlet Fotbol Direkt, Celts have slapped a £2.2million price tag on the player.

Haksabanovic still has three years left on his contract after joining under Ange Postecoglou but it's expected that he will be allowed to find a new club before the new campaign begins.

That could potentially be another loan but the idea that a fee has reportedly been considered, a permanent move away may make the most sense with the wide areas at Parkhead already stacked.
