Jorginho’s mother was left in floods of tears after seeing her son’s shirt for sale in Chelsea’s club shop for the first time.
The Italy international, who was born in Brazil, was transferred to the London club from Napoli in a deal worth nearly £60million this summer.
He learned the game thanks to his mum, Maria Tereza Freitas, teaching him to play football on the beaches of the South American country as a child.

“My mother played football so I learned a lot from her,” Jorginho told reporters. “She still plays today and understands a lot. She would take me to the beach
Jorginho is set to make his debut for Chelsea against Manchester City in the Community Shield at Wembley on Sunday afternoon.

His whole family wanted to get kitted out in Blues merchandise for the occasion and headed to the megastore at Stamford Bridge to buy shirts.
It was all a bit too much for the proud Ms. Freitas as she cried upon locking her eyes on her son’s shirt being proudly displayed at the store.

The touching moment was captured on Instagram and the midfielder embraces his mother to share the moment on the eve of his big day out under the arch at Wembley.
