Sergio Ramos has been included in the Paris Saint-Germain squad to face Manchester City in the Champions League on Wednesday evening.

The veteran 35-year-old is yet to make an appearance for the Ligue 1 giants following a move to Paris upon the expiration of his contract at Real Madrid this summer.

Such were the extent of his injury problems, there were reports suggesting PSG were considering terminating the two-year deal they handed him in July.

Now, however, Ramos is primed to play his first competitive match since Madrid’s Champions League semi-final loss to Chelsea in May.

PSG go into the game at the Etihad Stadium sitting top of Group A but have not particularly impressed under Mauricio Pochettino despite their leads in both Ligue 1 and the Champions League.

Still, they can guarantee entry into the knockout stages with a win over City, though a loss would end their hopes of winning the group.
