Several weekend events rescheduled because of weather

Jan. 19—The overnight snowfall, winds and temperatures led to some cancellations of Wabash Valley high school events Friday.

These have been reported to the Tribune-Star:

—Terre Haute North's boys basketball game at Clay City, scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday, has been postponed.

It's been rescheduled for 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10.

The Patriots are still slated to face Southport at home Saturday, with a 4:30 varsity start.

—Evansville North's boys basketball game at Terre Haute South, scheduled for 8:30 p.m. Friday, has been canceled.

As of this writing, the Braves are still on the schedule to visit Bloomington North on Saturday for a 7:30 p.m. varsity tipoff.

—Northview's boys basketball game at Indian Creek, scheduled for 8 p.m., has been canceled.

—Riverton Parke's boys and girls varsity basketball games at North Central, scheduled for 6 and 7:30 p.m. Friday respectively have been canceled.

—North Vermillion's boys basketball game, scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday at Parke Heritage, has been postponed and rescheduled for 7:45 p.m. Monday.

—Martinsville's boys basketball game, scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday at Marshall, Ill., has been postponed and rescheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 29.
