A big game in the race for European spots takes place on Thursday as Sheffield United host Tottenham.

The Blades were flying before the Premier League‘s shutdown, but since the resumption of matches have struggled.

A draw and two defeats have seen them slip to ninth and they must find a way to take points here or else risk falling into mid-table obscurity.

Spurs have drawn and won their last two, but a win here would keep them within touching distance of Manchester United and Wolves in the fight for fifth.

Prediction

Sheffield United don’t look anywhere near as effective right now as they were earlier in the year, while Spurs managed the West Ham game very smartly.

If they do the same again here – and Harry Kane continues to show more signs of sharpness – it could be another low-impact, but important, victory for Jose Mourinho and Co.
