Sir Elton John's mum Sheila desperate to meet kids before it's too late

Yesterday, we reported that Sir Elton John and his mum Sheila Farebrother had appeared to make up after almost ten years of bad feeling.

And it’s believed that 91-year-old Sheila is now desperate to meet his children Zachary, six, and Elijah, four, before it’s too late.

“She’s aware she doesn’t have many years. She’d love Elton to bring them over,” a source told The Sun newspaper.

The ‘I’m Still Standing’ hitmaker and his mum fell out after he fired her longtime friends Bob Halley and John Reid, who had both been part of his entourage for 30 years.

An it’s believed he had enough, after she bad mouthed his husband David Furnish and he insisted he didn’t want her in his life.

But it doesn’t look like it will be long now before Sheila will get her wish to meet her grandkids Elton after he recently admitted he’s “so happy” he’s back in touch with his mother in a sweet tribute posted online over the weekend.

Alongside a photograph of him and Sheila, he wrote: “Dear Mum, Happy Mother’s Day! So happy we are back in touch. Love, Elton xo #MothersDay”

Elton has tried to get back on track with Sheila for years, and though they weren’t speaking, he sent her a huge bouquet of white flowers for her 90th birthday.

The following year he paid for her £30,000 double hip operation.

And it’s thought the pair have grown closer since Elton was rushed to hospital and spent a few days in intensive care last month after he was struck down with a rare and potentially deadly bacterial infection while touring South America.
