England will begin their next quest for Six Nations glory against France in Paris, it has been confirmed.

The respective fixture lists for the 2020 and 2021 editions of the northern hemisphere competition were released on Wednesday - four days after Warren Gatland's Wales claimed their first Grand Slam since 2012 with a dominant victory over Ireland in Cardiff.

England eventually finished second after closing their 2019 campaign with a thrilling 38-38 draw against Scotland at Twickenham and will start next year's Six Nations at the Stade de France on Sunday, February 2.

They then travel to Murrayfield six days later before hosting Ireland - who will then be under the tutelage of Andy Farrell - after the first weekend break.

Defending champions Wales are the visitors to south west London on March 7 before England finish with a trip to Rome on March 14.

In 2021, England will take on Scotland at Twickenham first before facing Italy (home), Wales (away), France (home) and Ireland (away).

Wales, who will be coached by Scarlets' Wayne Pivac after the upcoming World Cup in Japan, are scheduled to kick off the defence of their 2019 title against Italy at the Principality Stadium before travelling to Dublin and hosting France.

A trip to the home of English rugby is followed up by a home clash with Scotland on the final weekend.
