Small really is beautiful with this TCL smart TV.
Featuring a fashionably slim design and a screen size of just 32-inches (hands up if you can remember when 32-inches was considered large!), the 32ES568 smart TV can be used pretty much anywhere, from living room to bedroom. It’s also a great low cost option for smaller apartments or student digs.
But while the screen sheds inches, it doesn’t sacrifice features.
Why we love it
This is a smart connected flatscreen based on the Android TV system. You don’t get the full Android enchilada found on larger, more expensive sets, it’s more a budget version, but it does have Chromecast built-in, making it easy to cast content from your Android smartphone. There’s also Bluetooth, so you can pair wireless headphones for private listening.
The set comes with Netfix and YouTube on board, but doesn’t have catch-up services like BBC iPlayer or ITV Hub.
Our suggestion is to add a streaming media player, like an Amazon Fire TV stick to one of the two HDMI inputs. This will then give you a much wider selection of streaming service options, including all your favourite TV apps.
You can then use the second HDMI input for DVD player or games console. The screen offers a 720p HD picture, which is fine for this screen size.
Chinese brand TCL may not be a household name in the UK, but it’s actually one of the world’s biggest TV suppliers.
What the reviews say
Buyers who have already bought this set seem suitably impressed. On Amazon, 71 per cent have lauded it with a five star rating.
“I really like this little set. For the price I can't find anything better.”
“Overall, this is a great TV, especially for the price.”
“Screen quality is good, sound surprisingly good, smart options are first rate.”
Originally, I bought this TV for the bedroom but in fact used it as a replacement in the kitchen.”
“Brilliant value. Great TV what's not to love. Side load apps and buy a £15 Bluetooth keyboard with mouse pad and you're sorted. Only minor issue is there appears to be no microphone support so voice search doesn't work with the Google assistant, a minor detail.”
