Snooker legend Jimmy White has hit an incredible 147 break - in a small town sports bar.

In just nine minutes and 35 seconds the six-time World Championship finalist sunk every red followed each time by the black before dispensing the remaining balls - earning him the maximum score.

Jimmy's stunning performance on Monday was witnessed only by his mate - a far cry from his first and only professional 147 scored at The Crucible in 1992.

To celebrate his epic frame, the 54-year-old celebrated with his trademark fist pump.

Following the 147, captured by the sports bar's CCTV camera, general manager Nikki Hughes uploaded the video onto Facebook where it was viewed more than 22,100 times.

Nikki, who runs Frames in Croydon, south London, said: "Jimmy White is a resident here, he's always practising here and it's brilliant to watch.

"He is such a nice guy and he's so down to earth. He will talk to you, he's fabulous.

"We have four 'star' tables which are professional standard especially for pros to play on.

"After he had done it he came and told me.

"The CCTV cameras are there especially for things like this. It's brilliant and fantastic. We're all so pleased."

The sports bar is also home to other world-class snooker players including Michael Georgiou and Marco Fu, world number 13.

Although Jimmy missed out of qualifying for the World Championship this year for the first time since 2006, Nikki revealed that his incredible performance was down to him being on a diet.

She said: "Jimmy White comes most days when he's not in a tournament. Stephen Hendry plays at our club too. To have these names at our club is amazing.

"He's lost about 5kg because he's been on a diet and he looks really good at the moment. He's playing well because of that.

"It's absolutely fantastic to see him complete the 147 and we are all so proud and incredibly impressed."
