Son Heung-min has dismissed talk of a Tottenham exit and stated "I have so much more I want to accomplish in the Premier League". A huge player for the Lilywhites ever since his move to the capital in the summer of 2015, the 31-year-old has been mentioned in regards to a shock reunion with Jose Mourinho at Fenerbahce recently.

The appointment of the former Spurs boss in the Turkish capital has seen a whole host of names linked with a move to Fenerbahce, including current Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg as the Dane looks on course to depart this summer.

Son was a key figure in Ange Postecoglou's Spurs team last season and the same will go for the 2024/25 campaign. The beginning of July does mark the start of the final year of Son's current contract, although it is believed that Tottenham do hold a one-year extension option that they can trigger at any point to tie him down for a further 12 months.

Amid the current speculation over his future, Son has admitted that he feels "a little uncomfortable" regarding the whispers but he will continue to keep doing his best for the north London club.

“I have not had any exchanges with the club," said the Tottenham captain when speaking to the media after South Korea's slender 1-0 win over China on Tuesday. “I don't have anything to say at this point. I feel a little uncomfortable with the situation. I am going to keep doing my best for Tottenham. I still have terms left on my contract.

“Money is not important to me. The most important thing is to play in a league that I enjoy playing in. I have so much more I want to accomplish in the Premier League.”

Tottenham head coach Postecoglou does have some lofty ambitions for the football club as he wants his team to compete with the likes of Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool at the summit of the Premier League on a regular basis. The Australian will also be targeting going far in both domestic cup competitions and the same will apply to the Europa League after Spurs clinched qualification for UEFA's second club competition.

Son has yet to get his hands on any silverware in his nine years at Tottenham but he will be intent on ensuring that changes before he finally bids farewell to the club later down the line.
