Son Heung-min has stated that Ange Postecoglou's Tottenham side are going to "come out next season even stronger". Following a summer of change at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the Lilywhites made an excellent start to the 2023/24 campaign under their new head coach and were riding high at the top of the Premier League table.

Unfortunately the team couldn't maintain their excellent start to the season, with the home defeat against Chelsea in November a pivotal moment, and in the end they finished the term in fifth. However, many have viewed it as season of success after sealing a return to Europe when many had predicted Tottenham to struggle following the high-profile exit of Harry Kane and Postecoglou working in the Premier League for the very first time.

The Lilywhites did not fare well in the domestic cup competitions but all will be hoping that changes come the 2024/25 campaign as the football club look to end their barren run without a piece of silverware. Very much a year of ups and downs in N17, Son played a key role for the team over the course of the term after contributing with 17 goals and 10 assists in 36 appearances in all competitions.

Now reflecting on the season as a whole after Tottenham's friendly against Newcastle United in Melbourne signalled the end of the 2023/24 campaign for the team, Son has sent a message to all supporters. Revealing that he had witnessed "some of the most special atmospheres" he's experienced at the club, the South Korean also mentioned how close the players are as a group and their intent for 2024/25.

"Finally home. Resting up. Looking back at the year. A season of ups and downs, but a season of progress," penned the Tottenham captain. "The first thing I think of is how we’ve grown stronger and closer as a team and club. We have an excitement around the place looking forward to the next few years. We’re going to rest up over the summer and come out next season even stronger.

"A special message of thanks to all of you, the supporters. This season we have had some of the most special atmospheres I’ve experienced yet.

"As my first year as captain, to be leading the boys is a privilege and something I’m so proud of. I’m looking forward to seeing you all again soon. Lots of love, Sonny. #COYS."

Following a well-earned breather for Son and the rest of his Tottenham teammates, Spurs will prepare for the 2024/25 season with a pre-season tour of Japan and South Korea. The Lilywhites will discover their Premier League schedule for the new campaign at 9am on Tuesday, June 18.
