The defending FA Cup winners Arsenal travel to the south coast on Saturday for a tricky fourth-round clash with Southampton.

When is it?

The game is on Saturday, January 23.

The match will kick off at 12.15pm.

What TV channel is it on?

Live coverage of the match begins at 11:45 on BT Sport 1.

Telegraph Sport will also be on hand to provide updates from the match in our live blog.

What is the team news?

Southampton striker Danny Ings is back in contention for the home side after a period in isolation following a positive test for coronavirus.

Boss Ralph Hasenhuttl made seven changes for the midweek cup win against Shrewsbury and has a lengthy injury list, which now includes Will Smallbone, who will be out for six months after damaging knee ligaments.

Arsenal could hand an immediate debut to Mat Ryan after the Australian goalkeeper joined on loan from Brighton for the remainder of the season.

Manager Mikel Arteta is likely to shuffle his pack with the likes of Gabriel, Nicolas Pepe, Willian and Gabriel Martinelli pushing for a start.

Pablo Mari (calf) misses out but Dani Ceballos will undergo a late fitness test on his own calf complaint and could be involved.

What have we said about the clubs?

Sam Wallace exclusively revealed Danny Ings is stalling on a new deal as he eyes the Champions League.

"The player’s key consideration is not financial but to give himself the best possible opportunity to play at the highest level again.

"The transfer market is in flux with the effects of Covid-19, although it is possible that the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and even his former club, Liverpool, might be in the market for a striker this summer."

JJ Bull breaks down Southampton's impressive Premier League campaign so far.

"Southampton are enjoying the benefits of clear vision, excellent coaching, and patience.

"By letting Ralph Hasenhuttl work his magic and stick to the plan, they have become one of the most difficult teams in the league to play against."

Sam Dean explores the impact Thomas Partey and Emile Smith Rowe have had in Arsenal's recent revival.

"Clearly there are also times to play fast, to try to hurt teams as quickly as possible.

"Smith Rowe has brought that to the side in recent weeks, providing a far more adventurous option than the ponderous Willian, and Partey led the way in this regard against Newcastle."

Dean looks at Arsenal defender Rob Holding, who recently signed a new contract.

"Arsene Wenger once said he was “sorry that Holding did not cost £55m”, and the focus of the fans has tended to drift towards more expensive arrivals over the years.

"Since Holding joined, no fewer than seven centre-backs have been signed by Arsenal. Yet here he is, leading the defensive line and playing as well as he ever has."

What's our prediction?

With the two teams meeting again in midweek in the Premier League, both managers are likely to rest their big names on Saturday which could lead to an open match.

Arsenal have a formidable record in the competition and will start as slight favourites with the likes of Willian and Pepe in need of a good display.

Former Arsenal forward Theo Walcott will be desperate to get another goal against his old side following his strike in last month's 1-1 draw in the league.

Verdict: Southampton 1 Arsenal 2
