With the news that cricket is set to be shown on Disney’s Hotstar streaming service in February and Amazon are contenders to show the next Ashes, the sport broadcasting landscape appears more fractured than ever.

Long gone are the days where you could get your live sporting fix in one place by settling down to an afternoon of Grandstand.  Instead, the explosion in popularity of streaming services and subscription-only brands have led to a whole new level of channel hopping.
