WARRINGTON Wolves have confirmed their 21-man squad for their return to Super League action on Friday night.

Huddersfield Giants are the visitors to The Halliwell Jones Stadium for Round 16, and they are set to face a Wire side boosted by Lachlan Fitzgibbon's return.

The Australian back-rower was named in the 21 for the win at Hull FC a fortnight ago only for the back injury that had been keeping him out of action to do so again.

However, head coach Sam Burgess confirmed at his pre-match press conference yesterday that Fitzgibbon would return to face the Giants.

Matty Ashton is included but doubt remains over his fitness having had back troubles of his own - he was forced off at Hull last time out and the injury kept him out of contention for England's mid-season Test against France.

There are no places in the 21, however, for forwards Max Wood and Joe Bullock. With both having come off the bench last time out, it means at least two more changes will need to be made to the 17.

One of those could be young prop Lucas Green, who has been drafted in while Arron Lindop is also brought in despite having turned out for England Academy on Tuesday night.

Jordy Crowther is not yet ready to return from the ankle injury he suffered during the Challenge Cup Final while long-term absentees Joe Philbin (adductor muscle), Leon Hayes (ankle), Wes Bruines (hamstring) and Luke Thomas (ACL) remain unavailable.
