Steamers split Tri-Meet on Senior Night; Defeat West Carroll, fall to Orion

Jan. 3—FULTON, Ill. — It was Senior Night on Wednesday night as the Fulton Steamers hosted Orion and West Carroll in a Tri-Meet.

The Steamers recognized their five seniors, Camryn Lippens, Keighley Tyler, Aidan Penca, Chris Carroll and Broden VenHuizen.

First up the Steamers took on Orion with Wiley Blasdell starting off the night with a win at 138 pounds. VenHuizen followed with a 6-2 win by decision and their only other win was Skylier Crooks who won by major decision, 11-1. Fulton fell 56-13.

Fulton closed out the night taking on the West Carroll Thunder, earning nine wins by forfeit. Ven Huizen capped off senior night for himself with his second win of the night, this time by fall in 2:40. Chris Carroll won his only match of the night, winning by fall in 29 seconds at 285 pounds.

The Steamers picked up the win 66-12 to split the night and end with a victory.
