Liverpool's final Premier League position for next season has been predicted by a supercomputer.

The Reds' fixture list for the 2024/25 campaign was confirmed on Tuesday morning. Arne Slot is gearing up for his first season as head coach following the departure of former manager Jurgen Klopp.

Next season, Liverpool will travel to face Ipswich Town on the opening day. The Reds will make the trip to East Anglia to face the Tractor Boys at Portman Road on Saturday, August 18, with the fixture set for a 12.30pm kick-off after being selected for live television coverage by TNT Sports.

Even though it's still two months until the new season gets underway, predictions are already being made for how the campaign may pan out. A supercomputer provided by BonusCodeBets has attempted to predict how the final league table will look by the end of May next year.

According to the prediction, Liverpool will finish fifth in the Premier League next season with miss out on a top-four spot. The Reds will apparently amass 70 points and finish three points behind fourth-placed Manchester United.

Manchester City are predicted to win the title with 94 points ahead of second-placed Arsenal who are tipped to finish with 91 points. Aston Villa are the other team predicted to secure Champions League football by finishing third with 75 points, five ahead of Liverpool.

Should the prediction prove to be accurate, Liverpool will miss out on Champions League football by three points. As a result, the Reds would be competing in the Europa League the following campaign in what would be Slot's second season in charge.

Slot will begin preparing for the new campaign when pre-season training gets underway next month. Liverpool will also jet off to the United States for three friendly fixtures against Real Betis, Arsenal and Man United.
