Surrey police charge man with murder of 87-year-old Rosemary Hill
A man has been charged with the murder of 87-year-old woman Rosemary Hill, who died after she was seriously assaulted in a commuter town street.
Guy Unmack, 45, of Warren Road, Reigate, Surrey, was charged with murdering Mrs Hill, who died four days after she was attacked on June 21.
A Surrey Police spokesman said the pensioner died as a result of her injuries.
“Mrs Hill was seriously assaulted in Warren Road on Sunday June 21 and died four days later in hospital as a result of her injuries", he said.
“Her family are receiving support from specially trained officers at Surrey Police.”
Mr Unmack was arrested on June 21 on suspicion of attempted murder and was detained under the Mental Health Act.
He is set to appear at Guildford Magistrates’ Court later.
