Swindon made a cameo appearance for Harry Kane’s opening goal in their Euro 2024 game against Denmark.

Fans have travelled from far and wide to Germany to see the tournament and everyone wants to represent their home with their own flag.

This includes Swindon, with a flag being fluttered in the front stand of Frankfurt’s Deutsche Bank Park.

The Swindon flag was picked out by the cameras at the high point of the match as Kane celebrated his tap-in from a Kyle Walker cross.

The flag - a Saint George’s Cross with “Swindon” emblazoned on the red, said “Daddy Robbo on tour” in the top left corner, with the three lions emblem in the bottom right.

One person said: “To be fair it was like watching Swindon at times watching England.”

England are currently top of their group with a draw and a win giving them four points.

The top two teams in each group qualify for the final 16 automatically, while the four best third-placed countries also claim a place.

This means a win in their final game against Slovenia on Tuesday would place England at the top.

Even if they lose and Denmark beat Serbia, England would likely still go through to the next stage on goal difference.
