Swindon Town sell off remaining Puma stock in charity clearance sale

The last of Swindon Town Football Club's Puma stock was sold off at bargain prices to raise money for a local charity.

Following Town's announcement of the end of their partnership with Puma, The club's kitmen Steve Hooper, and Jonah Isaacs hosted a Kit Clearance event.

People queued outside the ground on Tuesday to get their hands on the the club's remaining Puma branded items such as match shirts, shorts, socks, training wear, rucksacks, polo shirts and much more, all at extremely discounted prices.

The proceeds totalling over £2,000 went towards the struggling local organisation Prospect Hospice, which provides personalised, compassionate care for those affected by a life-limiting illness, completely free of charge.

Their mission is to ensure that anyone can access the best possible expert care whenever and wherever they need it – whether at the hospice or in their own home.

Steve said: "It was great to see so many people from the local area come out to support the event and raise so much money for the Prospect Hospice."

"A charity that is close to our hearts and I am sure has touched the lives of many of the people we saw on the day. £2873 is a remarkable amount and we hope it can go a long way in supporting the wonderful work of the hospice”

Jonah added: "Today we raised a great amount of money for a charity close to mine and Steve, and one we love to help out when we can."

"With us changing from Puma to adidas, we had lots of worn and brand-new Puma gear we could not use anymore so thought would be a great idea to do a sale and make some money for a great cause."

"Thank you to everyone who came was great to see so many fans and chat with so many as we look ahead to a new season with some fresh new Adidas kit."

On June 11, Swindon confirmed its partnership with Puma had ended.

In an announcement, the club said: "Swindon Town are delighted to announce that Adidas will be the club’s new teamwear brand for the 2024/2025 season, replacing Puma who have been partnered with the club for the last nine years.

"The agreement with Pro:Direct and adidas will give supporters a wide range of merchandise to choose from along with additional loyalty schemes that will raise additional revenue for the football club."
