Switzerland XI vs Italy: Starting lineup, confirmed team news and injury latest for Euro 2024 game today

Switzerland are without Silvan Widmer as they battle Italy in the last 16 at Euro 2024 today.

Mainz right-back Widmer picked up his second booking of the tournament so far in the 1-1 draw against hosts Germany in the finale of Group A last week so is absent in Berlin this evening.

Ruben Vargas and Dan Ndoye complete the front three with Burnley’s Zeki Amdouni hoping to come off the bench.

Captain Granit Xhaka will have his hands full marshalling the midfield against Italy, but will have help from Remo Freuler, who already has two assists from three games to his name during this European Championship so far.
