The details of a Darwen triathlon have been revealed - after last month's event was hailed a success.

The UK’s largest and Europe’s fastest-growing running events company, RunThrough, are behind the Darwen Triathlon, Aquathlon and Run which took place on Sunday, June 23.

RunThrough athletes from across the region gathered to participate in the event, which has established itself as a 'staple' in the local sporting calendar.

The triathlon featured three challenging segments: swimming, cycling, and running, all set against the backdrop of Darwen’s picturesque landscape.

Matt Wood, co-founder of RunThrough, expressed his excitement about the event’s success, and said: “We are absolutely delighted with the turnout and the incredible spirit shown by all the participants at the Darwen Triathlon.

In light of the event’s triumph, RunThrough has confirmed that the Darwen Triathlon, Aquathlon and Run will return next year on Sunday, June 22nd, 2025. Registration is open now.

RunThrough will organise and deliver 270 events in 2024, with over 285,000 participants.
