Two-time and defending champions West Indies come into this T20 World Cup with a squad packed with a host of familiar names and stacked with experience and power. They are the most direct team in the tournament, recognising that scoring swiftly is built on sixes.

Missing of the old guard is Sunil Narine, whose absence will be keenly felt. But their strength lies in the immense batting depth. Chris Gayle has been around since day dot in T20, Evin Lewis is a classy operator, and Nicholas Pooran and Shimron Hetmyer are the coming men. Kieron Pollard and Andre Russell are all-time great T20 all-rounders, while further batting depth is brought by Dwayne Bravo and Fabian Allen.

Success is likely to come from their ability to outhit most sides, but still have some fiery bowling, not least from Oshane Thomas.

The recent Caribbean Premier League means everyone arrives with game time under their belt, and some of their stars have supplemented that at the IPL. On that note, do not underestimate Roston Chase, providing a bit of balance to the side following a wonderful CPL.

Key man - Andre Russell

The big all-rounder may be 33 and bugged by an injury at the back end of the IPL, but he remains utterly box office with bat and ball.
