Taunton boxer triumphs at Europe's largest amateur event

A Taunton boxer has won gold at Europe's largest amateur boxing event.

On May 17, Anya Wilson came top, winning gold at Alexandra Palace, London during the esteemed Haringey Box Cup.

In total, 300 boxers from across Europe competed.

Representing Blueflames Amateur Boxing Club, Anya was joined by fellow boxers Charlie Miller and Jasmine Hall.

The club congratulated all three on their performances against high-level opponents, saying that being involved in the event itself is an honour.
