Taylor Swift has pledged her love for Liverpool, sharing her "one regret" with fans during her Friday night performance. The 'Reputation' singer was back at Anfield for the second of three nights as part of her Eras Tour and the 34-year-old global superstar seems to have fallen head over heels with the city.

Earlier on Friday, she told the crowd that Liverpool had left a "stunning impression" on her. She felt the audience was "vibing" and predicted a "successful evening", promising to take her fans on an "adventure".

Later, the billionaire songstress shared a regret about her past tours when speaking about the city. Taylor said: "I've gotten to do so many tours and I used to be in this pattern where I'd put out an album, and then I'd do a tour called whatever that album was called.

"The Red tour, the 1989 tour, the Speak Now tour... and we had so many amazing memories. The one regret I have is that we really should've been playing Liverpool on all those tours. Yeah... that's on me, will not be making that mistake in the future I can tell you that."

On her first of three nights at Anfield, Swift confirmed that she had set a new attendance record for the Liverpool FC stadium. The American wasn't able to confirm the exact figure but was told that the number was a new high.

"So, I just want to say, those things mean the world to us getting to play this show for people who would go so far above and beyond for us and welcome us to Liverpool in such a fashion," she said while on stage. "We love you so much and, you know, while I was walking to the stage, they pulled me aside and told me another thing you did for us tonight.

"And that thing is that you... you broke the all-time attendance record for this stadium tonight. Don't you just love knowing there's never been as many people in this room as there are right now? I, personally, love that feeling."

Liverpool.com says: It's been great to see Liverpool hosting such a big event this week and the fact that it is at Anfield makes it even more iconic. By the sounds of it, the many who missed out on tickets this time might be getting another chance in the future.
