Nat Ogbeta is available for the trip to Peterborough after pulling out of the squad against Port Vale last weekend.

Ogbeta was due to start against the Valiants but had issues in the warm-up and was replaced by Randell Williams at left wing-back.

Ian Evatt confirmed that it was nothing serious and the Swansea loanee has trained ahead of the trip to London Road.

“It was just a contusion, basically a dead leg,” the Bolton boss explained. “There is not too much to worry about there, he has trained fine today.”

Skipper Ricardo Santos could also return to the side after having to watch from the sidelines against Port Vale.

“Rico has trained all week and been brilliant, he is back pain-free,” Evatt continued.

“There are one or two other bits and pieces we are having to manage but at this stage of the season, that is normal and natural. Fundamentally, the team and squad are in a good place.”

Victor Adeboyejo is also back in training. The forward has not featured since picking up a hamstring injury during the 2-2 draw at Exeter last month.

Evatt says Adeboyejo is not quite ready to be involved against Posh this weekend but is confident the former Burton man would play a part if the play-offs are required.

Wanderers’ chances of finishing in the top two are unlikely but it is still mathematically possible as the Rams prepare to host bottom side Carlisle.

The Bolton bench will have one eye on the events at Pride Park in case the Cumbrians can do them a favour. Regardless of what is happening elsewhere, Evatt wants to deliver a strong performance against Darren Ferguson’s side and keep building momentum.

“Obviously, if we get updates during the game and all of a sudden need to go a bit more gung-ho because the goals need to come, that is something we can change,” he said.

“But for us, the approach is the same. We will try to play our way and win the game. If we can win the game and things do not go our way elsewhere, we will continue with good momentum leading into the games to come.

“The most important thing, for me, is that we go there and perform well against one of our direct competitors.

“Peterborough have been a very good team this season and have been right up there with us for the majority of it.”
