Fans will be allowed into Stamford Bridge for the first time in five months on Tuesday evening as supporters return for the final two rounds of Premier League matches.

After Prime Minister Boris Johnson eased lockdown restrictions on Monday, clubs are able to welcome back up to 10,000 fans and Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel feels the backing of supporters could make the difference in their crucial clash with Leicester.

Chelsea risk missing out on Champions League qualification if they fail to win against a Leicester side still on high after beating the Blues in Saturday’s dramatic FA Cup Final at Wembley.

Tuchel said: “We had some matches where we struggled a bit with momentum and I had the feeling that their support could help.

“This [match] could be crucial to our team so having the fans back is fantastic.”

Chelsea travel to Aston Villa on Sunday for their final Premier League game of the season, after which Tuchel will turn his attentions to the Champions League Final against Manchester City in Portugal on Saturday week.
