Chelsea only have a few days left to wrap up some bargains before the Premier League's spending rules window slams shut. At the end of June, the three-year cycle for Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSRs) comes to an end and clubs will be required to submit their financial records.

Every year, Premier League clubs are monitored for their compliance. During the 2023/24 campaign, Everton and Nottingham Forest were both found to have breached PSRs, resulting in respective point deductions.

A club will be found in breach of the PSRs if its PSR calculation over the relevant period results in a loss in excess of £105m. The Toffees were deducted six points and then a further two points, following two separate breaches, while Nuno Espirito Santo's side were deducted four points.

As the three-year cycle deadline approaches, Chelsea could benefit from Premier League clubs trying to flog players in a last-ditch effort to remain compliant. So, with that being said, football.london has taken a look at three easy transfers the Blues can complete before the end of the month.

Jhon Duran

Duran has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea for a while now and, with Aston Villa thought to be under pressure to sell this month, a deal could be wrapped up fairly quickly. In an interview with Columbian TV channel Gol Caracol earlier this week, the 20-year-old striker was quizzed on interest from the Blues.

"The options of the other teams, I don’t know, I am not aware now," said Duran. I’m focused on the national team, at the Copa America, wanting to add minutes, supporting the team a lot. For those topics of a possible move, I already have other people who take care of that."

Murillo

Nottingham Forest are another club who could be looking to secure a last-ditch windfall before the PSR deadline on June 30, so perhaps Chelsea should target Murillo. In fact, football.london understands that the Blues have already registered an interest in the centre-back.

The 21-year-old enjoyed an impressive debut season in the Premier League last time out and has been linked with several top clubs this summer. Liverpool are said to be keeping an eye on his situation, too, but Chelsea are now considering a move for the defender. Murillo has been identified as someone who can come in and improve the defensive line for incoming head coach Enzo Maresca.

However, Forest will not let their star defender leave the City Ground for cheap this summer. Sources have confirmed to football.london that the club will demand 'way over' £50million for the Brazilian's signature in the coming months.

Jarrad Branthwaite

Following two separate breaches of PSR during the 2023/24 period, Everton will be determined to steer clear of any more wrongdoing. So, Chelsea should test the Toffees' resolve and launch a bid to sign Branthwaite, who's already been linked with a move to Manchester United this summer.

Ordinarily, Everton might demand an eye-watering fee for the 22-year-old defender's signature. But, with the PSR deadline on Sunday, Sean Dyche's side might get cold feet and consider a cut-price sum if it means they don't start the new Premier League season with a points deduction.

With that being said though, Branthwaite would still likely command a hefty fee so Chelsea will have to be careful. Having only signed Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer so far this summer, Enzo Maresca's side are clearly treading a fine line themselves.
