Three reasons why Sadio Mane will prove good Liverpool signing

Goal-scoring pedigree

It’s no surprise that Sadio Mane has finally moved away from St Mary’s. The Senegal international has previously been linked with Arsenal and Manchester United before the 24-year-old completed his £34m switch to Liverpool. Mane was deployed largely as a forward cutting in from the wing under manager Ronald Koeman with good success. The Reds signing scored 21 times in 67 Premier League game and he should add further goals to Klopp’s exciting Liverpool side next season.

Best yet to come

At 24, Mane still has time to improve and thrive under Klopp. Unlike some who make the move to the Premier League, the African required little time to settle in the English top flight. He will be expected to hit the ground running on Merseyside, too. Given Mane outscored every Liverpool player in the Premier League last season, his room to grow as a goal-scorer and an individual should leave Liverpool supporters with plenty of optimism.

Fits Klopp’s profile

While some sceptical Liverpool supporters will probably point out that Mane is no Marco Reus, the Senegalese forward is a player who fits the bill for Klopp. The Reds signing will bring pace, power and goals to the 18-time English champions which are attributes that we have seen in Klopp’s Borussia Dortmund’s sides.
