Todd Cantwell branded a Rangers fan a "weapon" after being taken to task over a social media post.

The midfielder appeared to get wound-up on social media this weekend after sharing a highlights reel of his best moments in the club's jersey on his Instagram account. He captioned it: "best is coming" with a vow to show fans what he's really made of this coming campaign. After posting the footage, Cantwell was clearly irked by one punter, qinalstr, who demanded: "Perform on the pitch instead of Instagram, then?"

And he was reeled in when he reacted as he snapped: "Clips are from me playing you weapon," accompanied by a bell emoji.

It comes just a short time after the 26-year-old's now infamous "shushburger" post following a goal against Hearts last term which was then deleted. It was also trolled by the likes of Chris Sutton as even Gers fans questioned their star's decisions to share social media posts to rile them up.

Speculation continues to mount about the former Norwich City star's future in Glasgow with interest down south as manager Philippe Clement considers every player up for sale amid his revamp this summer with his squad.
