Celtic and Rangers will both reportedly take a swing at signing Tommy Conway - if the Bristol City striker runs down his contract.

Both Glasgow giants are believed to be keeping a close eye on the attacker's situation after he hit 12 goals last season for the EFL Championship side. Conway, 21, still has 12 months left on his deal at Ashton Gate but no extension has yet been signed by the player.

Should that remain the position, both Celtic and Rangers would consider a pre-contract deal with the player as it would only cost them around £300,000 in cross-border compensation.

A move to Scottish football would be a nightmare for City as it would see them land a considerably smaller fee for the player than if he opted to join another club down south. But the Daily Record claim it's a genuine possibility.

Conway is currently away with Scotland at Euro 2024 having made his first appearance for Steve Clarke's A-team against Finland last weekend.
