Tony Ferguson vs. Michael Chiesa Headlines UFC's South Dakota Debut

Two Fighters Miss Weight at UFC Mexico City Weigh-in

A lightweight battle between Top 10 fighters Tony Ferguson and Michael Chiesa will headline UFC Fight Night 91, the UFC's debut event in South Dakota. UFC officials announced the bout during Sunday's UFC Fight Night 87 telecast from Rotterdam.

Ferguson's (20-3) only stumble in the UFC to date has been a decision loss to Michael Johnson in May of 2012. Outside of that one blemish, Ferguson won The Ultimate Fighter 13 and 10 of his 11 total UFC bouts. He is currently riding a seven-fight winning streak that includes victories over former Strikeforce champion Josh Thomson and fellow standout Edson Barboza.

Ferguson was supposed to have fought Khabib Nurmagomedov in the recent UFC on FOX 19 headliner in April, but had to pull out of the fight after doctors discovered fluid in his lung.

Chiesa (14-2) is also a TUF winner. He was the winner of Season 15 of the reality show. Chiesa is 7-2 overall in the Octagon, and has won his last three fights, including a second-round submission finish of Beeil Dariush at UFC on FOX 19.

UFC Fight Night 91: Ferguson vs. Chiesa takes place on July 13 from the Denny Sanford Premier Center. It will be broadcast live on Fox Sports 1.
