Tottenham Hotspur have accepted an £11million bid for midfielder Mousa Dembele from Chinese Super League club Beijing Guoan.

Dembele, who had entered the final six months of his Spurs deal, is now discussing terms with Guoan ahead of a lucrative move.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino last season hailed Dembele “a genius”, but injury problems have prevented the Belgian playing since the start of November.

Pochettino on Monday confirmed that 31-year-old Dembele, who has suffered ongoing ankle problems, would not be part of his Tottenham plans for Tuesday night’s Carabao Cup semi-final first leg against Chelsea.

Other than Dembele, Tottenham are prepared to listen to offers for strikers Fernando Llorente and Vincent Janssen this month, along with winger Georges-Kevin N’Koudou.

Pochettino wants to make space in his squad for new arrivals, whether they come this month or at the end of the season.
