Tottenham have sold Joe Rodon to Leeds United in a deal worth £10million, with Archie Gray arriving from Elland Road in a separate deal.

Gray has penned a six-year deal with Spurs, keeping him tied to the club until 2030. Football.london understands the move will cost Tottenham between £25million and £30million. The 18-year-old - who had been linked to a number of Premier League clubs - looked set to sign for Brentford but a payment structure could not be agreed, allowing Spurs to come in.

Gray - the son of former Leeds star Andy - played most of last season at right-back despite being a natural midfielder. He tallied 52 appearances - of which 47 were starts - for Leeds last term, grabbing two assists.

Meanwhile, Rodon spent last season out on loan at Leeds, making 50 appearances alongside Gray as the club reached the Championship play-off final. The defender only played 24 times in four years for Spurs, having arrived from Swansea City in October 2020.

Wales international Rodon's last game for Tottenham came in the form of a late cameo in a 1-0 win over Burnley in May 2022. His exit is timed with the arrival of Gray, who will wear the No.14 shirt.

It is understood that Rodon preferred a move back to Leeds on a four-year deal despite interest from newly-promoted Premier League sides Ipswich Town and Leicester City.

Rodon becomes the first Tottenham sale of the summer. Eric Dier, Ivan Perisic, Ryan Sessegnon, Tanguy Ndombele and Japhet Tanganga left the club last month upon the end of their contracts.

Meanwhile, Gray technically becomes the third player Ange Postecoglou has already welcomed in this summer, with Timo Werner securing a loan return to Spurs with an option to buy, following his short spell at the club last season.

Lucas Bergvall also saw his £8.5million transfer from Djurgarden made official on Monday, having agreed to a move back in February.
