Hakim Ziyech has emerged as an option for the north London club amid his talks to leave Chelsea and earlier failed bids for the likes of Nicolo Zaniolo.
Young Manchester City forward Adedire Mebude is also of interest ahead of tonight’s 11pm deadline.
Here is your deadline day update of Tottenham transfer rumours...
Tottenham have entered the running to sign Chelsea wide-man Ziyech.
With the player wanting out of Stamford Bridge, Spanish outlet Revelo claim talks are already underway over a transfer and personal terms.
It was reported earlier in the week that Chelsea have dropped their asking price to £21m as Ajax push to seal a return to Amsterdam for Ziyech.
Leeds winger James is available for a deadline day transfer and Spurs are interested, report Standard Sport.
However, the player is understood to be content in Yorkshire despite largely being a squad player under Jesse Marsch.
Any deal would likely be on loan with a view to a permanent move.
City teenager Medbude is the subject of interest from Spurs ahead of the deadline, as reported exclusively by Standard Sport’s Nizaar Kinsella.
PSV Eindhoven, Southampton, Newcastle and Club Brugge are also keen on the 18-year-old after he made a strong start to his club’s Under-21 campaign.
Mebude has stalled his contract talks with City but has two years left on his deal.
