Ange Postecoglou could soon make room for Conor Gallagher at Tottenham Hotspur. The 24-year-old midfielder faces an increasingly uncertain future at Chelsea, with just 12 months left on his contract.

Playing a key role in Mauricio Pochettino's side, Gallagher helped the Blues clamber into sixth place in the Premier League and achieve Conference League qualification. He featured 37 times, scoring five goals and providing seven assists.

Not only did the Cobham graduate catch Gareth Southgate's eye, earning a place in the England squad for Euro 2024, but he also courted interest from Spurs. football.london understands that the Lilywhites have shortlisted Gallagher as a target this summer.

It's believed that the Chelsea ace has 'very little intention' of leaving Stamford Bridge, though. When quizzed on his contract situation earlier this month, Gallagher committed his future to the west Londoners.

"I’m sure that will get sorted out, everyone knows Chelsea is my club and I love playing for them," he said. "The fans are brilliant and I’m loving right now and I’m sure it will get itself sorted out."

While Gallagher seems set on staying at Chelsea, Tottenham may be left no choice but to test the England international's resolve. According to German publication Bild, Borussia Dortmund are interested in Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who sees his deal expire next year.

The report states that the Bundesliga giants also want to sign Pascal Gross from Brighton. With Dortmund chasing Hojbjerg, Spurs have essentially been given the green light to go and revamp their midfield.

Though slightly further up-field, Eberechi Eze also remains a target for Tottenham this summer. Playing a key role in Oliver Glasner's side, Eze helped steer the Eagles away from a relegation scrap and finish 10th.

The England international, who sees his contract at Selhurst Park expire in June 2027, featured 27 times in the English top flight, scoring 11 goals and providing four assists. Tottenham have named Eze has a 'priority target' this summer, football.london understands.

It's believed that Postecoglou is a big admirer of the Englishman, but it'll be up to Daniel Levy to pay his release clause with Crystal Palace not keen on losing him for anything less. While Eze's away on international duty at Euro 2024 too, fortunately, he's represented by CAA Base – the agency that also represents Postecoglou and a few Spurs players.
