The Tottenham players Conte and Mourinho could try to sign this summer for Napoli and Fenerbahce

Two of Tottenham's former managers have been appointed in new jobs in recent days and the north London club might just be hoping that helps Ange Postecoglou.

Antonio Conte has finally settled on his next job after leaving Tottenham more than a year ago and it is to take the helm of Serie A side Napoli. The Italian is taking Cristian Stellini and other members of his Spurs coaching staff with him to the Naples club that won the title in 2023 but finished mid-table last time around.

Across in Turkey, after his time at Roma, Jose Mourinho has now taken charge at Fenerbahce in a league that has featured plenty of former Spurs stars in recent seasons, including Davinson Sanchez, Tanguy Ndombele, Serge Aurier and Carlos Vinicius at Galatasaray alone.

With Postecoglou looking to continue the overhaul of his squad with departure galore expected, we've decided to take a look at what Tottenham players might catch the eye of one or both of the two silverware-laden former Spurs managers.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

Both Conte and Mourinho liked Hojbjerg and played him in pretty much every match possible. With plenty of high level interest in the Dane expected this summer, Napoli and Serie A would perhaps prove to be more the attractive option for the 28-year-old, who will be competing at the Euros this summer.

With just a year left on his contract, Hojbjerg could be an cost-effective addition to the midfield for most clubs in Europe and the Premier League.

Ben Davies

One thing Conte and Mourinho had in common, a trait they shared with all recent Spurs managers other than Nuno Espirito Santo, was that they loved Ben Davies. The Welsh left-back got plenty of game time for both of them when available.

The 31-year-old faces a crossroads in his Tottenham career this summer with a year left on his contract but not particularly suiting the Postecoglou inverted full-back role, even if he's proved useful through his versatility once again this season for the club and for the Australian.

Both of his former managers might just have a look at Davies' potential availability this summer.

Joe Rodon

Another Welshman there will be plenty of interest in this summer after his excellent season on loan at Leeds. Conte barely used the Welshman, loaning him out to Rennes in his first summer in charge, but Mourinho liked Rodon and was playing him regularly before his exit from Tottenham.

Rodon could well aim to remain in England and Leeds will be looking to find a way to take him back despite their failure to win promotion to the Premier League but who knows, a spell under Mourinho if the Portuguese wanted a reunion might be a Turkish adventure worth considering.

Emerson Royal

The Brazilian ended up playing far more football under Conte than was initially expected as a wing-back and there is interest in Italy for the right-back, with AC Milan among the pack.

There have been Saudi links to Emerson as well but a move to either Italy or Turkey might appeal to the 25-year-old if another right-back arrives at Spurs this summer.

Oliver Skipp

Both Mourinho and Conte spoke highly of Skipp and the midfielder is keen to get regular football next season after a tough campaign with little game time under Postecoglou.

Tottenham may have some pause in letting him go due to their lack of club-trained homegrown players, which they need for the Europa League but he could get more game time with either of his former managers. There is expected though to be plenty of interest in the young midfielder this summer from home and abroad.

Tanguy Ndombele

Ok, hear us out on this one. While Conte did not particularly seem to click with Giovani Lo Celso and the Argentine might not want a move to Turkey at this point in his career, and the Italian did not have any interest in Ndombele, one man did manage to get the best out of the Frenchman for a while and that was Mourinho.

It might not have been the happiest of unions and had more ups and downs than a high-speed rollercoaster, but there's no denying that the French midfielder's best spell in his career in the past half a decade came when he was giving everything and starting regularly for Mourinho in his second season at the club.

Ndombele has had a woeful time in Turkey with Galatasaray despite winning the league but if he wanted to stay in the country and Mourinho fancied the challenge again then who knows?
