Tottenham will hope to bounce back from a difficult run and begin 2021 on a high as they host unpredictable Leeds today.

Reaching the Carabao Cup semi-finals aside, Spurs have been out of sorts of late and have failed to win any of their last four Premier League matches since the north London derby triumph over Arsenal on December 6.

Consecutive defeats by Liverpool and Leicester were sandwiched between disappointing draws against Crystal Palace and Wolves, though Tottenham should at least be refreshed heading into the New Year after their midweek clash with Fulham was postponed due to a Covid-19 outbreak in the Cottagers’ camp.

Leeds are full of confidence after edging past Burnley and thrashing struggling West Brom 5-0, while they also put five past depleted Newcastle earlier this month.

However, Jose Mourinho boasts a strong record against Marcelo Bielsa and Leeds’ vulnerabilities were recently highlighted by a 6-2 drubbing by rivals Manchester United.

Tottenham vs Leeds prediction: 3-1 home win

While Leeds have been very impressive of late, they are just as capable of conceding a hatful of goals as they are scoring them and this will be their third fixture in just six days during the busy festive period.

It is easy to see this being a game too far for a relatively small squad, though Tottenham must discover their attacking touch after a meagre few weeks in the top-flight.
