Tottenham vs Newport County, FA Cup team news and starting lineups: Toby Alderweireld returns as Spurs rest Harry Kane and Dele Alli

Toby Alderweireld returns for Tottenham as Mauricio Pochettino rotates his squad for tonight's FA Cup replay against Newport County at Wembley Stadium.

Alderweireld has been out of action for Tottenham since early November following the damaging hamstring injury he suffered against Crystal Palace.

The Belgian's return is a massive boost for Pochettino ahead of Saturday's north London derby against Arsenal, though the Spurs coach has opted to give Harry Kane and Dele Alli a rest on the bench after a draining 2-2 Premier League draw against Liverpool on Sunday.

Juan Foyth starts in defence for Spurs with Danny Rose returning on the left flank, while Erik Lamela, Fernando Llorente and Harry Winks will all be hoping to impress.

Victor Wanyama has also been handed a start in midfield following his stunning goal against Liverpool.

Pochettino will hope his selection is not too risky given that League Two Newport almost knocked his side out previously, with Kane's late goal sealing a 1-1 draw to set up tonight's replay.
