Tottenham XI vs Everton: Confirmed team news, predicted lineup, latest injuries for Premier League game

Jose Mourinho's biggest decision is in central midfield as Tottenham welcome Everton on the opening day of the Premier League season.

Moussa Sissoko, Harry Winks and Giovani Lo Celso are all competing for a spot alongside summer signing Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in the double-pivot.

Sissoko feels likeliest to get the nod, based largely on fitness, with Winks having missed Spurs last two friendlies and England's Nations League fixtures and Lo Celso a doubt with a hamstring problem.

As well as Hojbjerg, Matt Doherty is likely to be given a debut at right-back ahead of Serge Aurier but Japhet Tanganga will definitely miss several weeks with a thigh strain.

Joe Hart, another new signing, will have to settle for competing with Paulo Gazzaniga for a place on the bench.

In attack, Harry Kane is certain to start despite not featuring in any of the club's friendlies after being forced into quarantine and Lucas Moura is expected to be given the nod over Steven Bergwijn and Erik Lamela.
