When Tottenham's players will return to pre-season training at Hotspur Way

Preparations for Tottenham's 2024/25 season are set to get underway next month at their Enfield-based training complex.

Spurs' last campaign only ended three weeks or so ago with the post-season friendly against Newcastle in Melbourne, but it will not be long before Ange Postecoglou and his coaching staff will be putting the team through their paces at Hotspur Way ahead of the coming season as the Australian plots a big year in N17, with the return of European football to boot.

The first team players are expected to begin to start filtering back to the training ground for pre-season work from July 6 onwards, mostly depending on how late their international commitments kept them busy after the previous campaign ended.

The club's U21s and U18s normally return for their pre-season a couple of days earlier, which is expected to be July 4. A number will be involved in the early work with Postecoglou's squad as the Spurs boss takes a look at them ahead of the pre-season friendlies.

Tottenham's players at the Euros and Copa America - Micky van de Ven, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Radu Dragusin, Guglielmo Vicario, Cristian Romero, Giovani Lo Celso and Rodrigo Bentancur - will all return at later stages of pre-season, depending on how far they progress in those tournaments to ensure they get at least three weeks off afterwards.

Spurs have a series of pre-season friendlies lined up, which is expected to include at least one behind-closed doors game at Hotspur Way, as well as a trip to Hearts on July 17, then QPR on July 20 before the first team flies out to Japan and Korea a couple of days later for matches against Vissel Kobe in Tokyo (July 27) and a K-League All Stars team (July 31) and Bayern Munich (Aug 3) in Seoul.

The north London side then take on Bayern again on August 10 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Visit Malta Cup, which is set to mark the return of Harry Kane and Eric Dier to N17 for the first time since their departures to Munich.

The Premier League season then begins on the weekend of August 17 and the fixtures for the new campaign will be released next Tuesday morning (June 18) at 9am.
